Noor Inayat Khan

This is a colourization I did of Special Operations Executive Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan. She earned the George Cross after her death which is the highest civilian decoration from the United Kingdom.
Noor Inayat Khan was born in St. Petersburg to Hazrat Inayat Khan and Ameena Begum (nee Ora Ray Baker). Her father came from a noble Indian Muslim family. She lived in France until the start of the Second World War. In 1940 she joined the Women's Auxiliary Air Force as a Wireless Operator. Afterwards she became a Special Operations Executive and was trained to go to France to gather intelligence. She and her fellow agents in France were betrayed and captured by the Nazis. She was interrogated extensively by the SS and never revealed any information. She tried to escape from SS headquarters but was discovered right away. She spent 10 months in SS confinement under horrid conditions and never once revealed anything. Afterwards she and 3 other agents were sent to Dachau Concentration Camp were they were executed.
